Rivian’s Hamptons Charging Outpost
Rivian’s Hamptons Charging Outpost is its first combination charging site-lounge on the East Coast.
The site features six fast chargers, including a trailer-friendly pull-through charger, and is open 24/7 to CCS- and NACS-equipped EVs.
“Guests can enjoy a relaxing lounge with complimentary coffee, curated snacks and merchandise, an outdoor kids’ play area and reading nook,” Rivian says.

A little over a week after the New York Post named Rivian “the it car of the Hamptons,” the electric-vehicle startup is expanding its presence with a new Rivian Charging Outpost. This location offers a more upscale experience than typical gas station or highway rest stop stops.
Rivian’s Charging Outposts are a growing trend in the EV industry. They provide amenities like snacks, coffee, restrooms, and waiting areas to enhance the charging experience for drivers. This is a significant upgrade from the often basic charging stations found elsewhere.
The latest outpost is located in Southampton, New York, at 1 Montauk Highway. It’s a 2,000-square-foot facility with six fast chargers, including the trailer-friendly option, and welcomes all EV drivers, not just Rivian owners. This marks the first Charging Outpost on the East Coast.
Amenities and Atmosphere
Rivian’s Hamptons location aims to reflect the area’s relaxed coastal vibe. It’s housed in a classic cedar shingle building and is conveniently located near popular Hamptons destinations like the Parrish Art Museum.
The outpost offers a comfortable space for drivers to take a break while charging. Amenities include a lounge area with complimentary coffee, a selection of snacks and merchandise, and a dedicated outdoor play area for children.
