Can-Am Origin Electric Motorcycle

The 2025 Can-Am Origin electric motorcycle offers a lot of fun, but its range is limited to about 69 miles on a single charge. It’s strong on versatility, a rugged look, and instant power for both road and trail riding. The electric motor provides immediate propulsion, and its modern design and quiet hum create a unique feel, blending Can-Am’s history with what’s new in electric technology. I also tested the Can-Am Pulse, a standard street bike with a bit more range.

Can-Am Style and Comfort Through Technology

The Can-Am Origin stands out as an electric motorcycle with a tall stance and large wheels, making it suitable for off-road adventures. Can-Am has also paired this with an impressive infotainment system that rivals more expensive electric motorcycles.

The Origin has a large 10.25-inch color touchscreen with BRP Connect and a user-friendly interface. You can easily switch between light and dark modes, adjust brightness, and access information like a digital speedometer, ride modes, battery status, and estimated range.

Electrek’s Take

While I still think the Can-Am Pulse is a more practical choice for most people and is easier to customize, I found myself thinking more about the Origin after about a month of riding each bike. Can-Am has built a fun motorcycle with its commanding riding position and rugged style.

A version with Level 3 charging speeds and a longer range would be great for road trips, but both bikes are excellent if your typical commute or riding route fits their specifications.

For now, Can-Am leads the way in electric motorcycles with a large display, CarPlay integration, a stylish design, and options for different riding preferences.

I'm Rohan Mehta, the voice behind KhelRe—a trusted and steadily growing blog dedicated to electric vehicles (EVs) in India. With over five years of experience as a tech and automotive blogger, I turned my frustrations with owning an EV into a mission: to help others make more intelligent choices in this fast-evolving world of electric mobility. I've been an early adopter of EV technology—I repurchased my first electric scooter in 2019. That experience opened my eyes to both the promises and the pitfalls of this new mode of transport. From slow charging times and range anxiety to misleading specs and hidden costs, I've faced it all. But instead of walking away, I decided to write about it. That's how KhelRe was born—a no-nonsense, hands-on blog where I share practical, real-world reviews of EV cars, bikes, and scooters. I break down features, range, performance, and pricing from a user-first perspective. I take pride in simplifying complex tech into clear, valuable insights—offering tips, ownership stories, and advice you won't find in flashy press releases or sales brochures. Whether you're a first-time EV buyer or just a curious auto enthusiast, my goal is to help you navigate the EV landscape with confidence. My motto: "EV knowledge should come from experience, not just brochures." When I'm not test-driving the latest e-scooter or comparing charging networks, you'll probably find me tinkering with my garage EV setup, chatting with fellow enthusiasts online, or sipping chai while writing my next blog post from a cosy local café.
