ZM Trucks Unveils New Electric Terminal Tractor
ZM Trucks, a part of ZO Motors in Asia, announced the start of its first North American manufacturing plant in Fontana, California, earlier this year. They recently showed off a new electric T75 terminal tractor at the 2025 Port Electrification Conference in Long Beach.
The ZM T75 has a range of 75 miles, can handle a gross cargo weight of 165,350 pounds, and can lift 80,000 pounds with its fifth wheel. It produces 415 peak horsepower and 2,802 lb-ft of torque.
The driver’s cabin includes a 10-inch LCD screen, 360-degree cameras, and modern controls. Optional features are central lubrication and a hydraulic system for trailers.
Joost de Vries, CEO of ZM Trucks, explained that the T75 is designed from the ground up to be electric, durable for long workdays, easy to manage with fleet tools, and environmentally friendly for zero-emission goals.
ZM Trucks is currently producing the T75 and is taking orders in North America.
